A Winter Storm Warning remains in effect for our area from 3 PM Saturday to 1 PM Sunday. Note that nearby areas *including Fall River* are under a more urgent Blizzard Warning. We are on the edge of a dividing line between Storm Warning and Blizzard Warning. Whether or not this weekend’s storm meets the criteria for a blizzard, forecasters agree that this will be a high impact event. Expect significant snowfall driven by strong north winds with gusts possible to 60 MPH, accompanied by the coldest temperatures of this winter. Driving may become impossible in whiteout conditions Saturday night and Sunday.
Complete road travel by late afternoon Saturday. Stay indoors during the storm. Each family member should have a working flashlight. Charge cell phones and reserve power banks now. Monitor news outlets for weather information and any emergency information.
